Planning Commission Requirements
- Commission consists of 5 members, 3 within Village limits, maximum of 2 may reside outside the Village limits but within one-mile jurisdiction Chairman Secretary 3 recommending members 1 alternate member
- Appointed and approved by the Village of Manley Board
- Appointed initially for a 1 year term then either one, two or three year term decided by Village Board
- Cannot hold any other municipal office
- Non-paying position
- Must hold one Planning Commission meeting per calendar year
- Meetings outside of yearly meeting are requested by the zoning administrator
- Meetings are conducted following the Open Meetings Act
- Requests, holds and conducts public meetings
- Makes final reports and recommendations to the Village Board based on the principals of the Comprehensive Plan
- Is a review and recommendation body only
