PET LICENSING VILLAGE OF MANLEY
The Village of Manley maintains Ordinances for the health & safety of all citizens. For protection against rabies, all dogs & cats over 6 months of age owned or kept within the village limits of
Manley are required by Ordinance to be licensed annually by the Village. In order to obtain a license you must show proof of rabies vaccination. Rabies vaccinations are required by the State of Nebraska. Pet licenses are $5.00 for each animal and are due January 1 st and delinquent after March 15 th of each year. If you are a new resident with a pet or obtain a pet after the March 15th deadline, you have 30 days to license the pet without penalty. Licensing a pet after March 15 th will include a $10.00 late charge. Harboring a vicious/dangerous animal or animals running at large are subject to a citation with fines:
1 st offense - $50.00, 2 nd offense - $60.00, 3 rd offense - $70.00.

TORNADO SEASON
…is upon us! Over the past couple of years, the Village has discussed making the Community Center a Tornado Shelter for residents who do not have a basement to go to or who have a need for a Shelter. With this wonderful building the Village has, the Board would like to provide this safety opportunity for the community, if there is a need.
Any time the Village is in a Tornado Watch or the siren goes off for a Tornado Warning, a Board member will open the Community Center. The basement will serve as a safety area.
