Village of Manley: Re Post Office Closing

manley boxes

The cluster boxes have been set here in Manley across from Post Office on the north side of Main Street. Within the next couple days, everyone will receive an envelope in their PO Box with the keys, the unit ID and the number in that unit you will have for your delivery.
There are six units with 16 boxes in each unit. There is a slot for outgoing mail in each unit. You will use your street address. You will not use the cluster box number.
The units will be identified by a letter A-B-C-D-E-F and not a number. Each resident will get an envelope with keys, unit ID and box number in that unit.
The mail will be processed in Weeping Water and the rural carrier will deliver to the cluster boxes. If you have packages, a card will be put in your box to tell you which of the parcel lockers contains your package. If the package is too large for any of the lockers the carrier will attempt to deliver to your house. If they can’t deliver it then it’ll go back to the Weeping Water post office. You can also specify a place that the parcels can be left such as…on the porch, in a box or container you have created, in a car, in the garage, behind a bush, etc.
Denise has been in contact with the Eagle Post Office (hub office for WW and Manley) so if you have questions please contact her.
